Our restored home offers 3 excellent bedrooms, each with modern en-suite facilities, and all have views towards the forest (Forest des Andaines).
Not far from the ferry ports of Caen, Cherbourg and Le Havre, Maison Laudiere is ideally located for touring the area that has many interesting attractions along with some fantastic roads. The local area has a variety of recreational activities including forest walks, cycling or golf and the towns of Bagnoles de L’Orne with its spa and many restaurants and medieval Domfront are a short drive away.
Motorcyclists are most welcome at Maison Laudiere. For those of you who have not ventured abroad before a foray into Normandy is a great place to start.
There is a large parking area to the front of the house and although a gravel finish is firm enough for motorcycles. I ride and park mine on there with no problems.
Standing in the garden is an old ’colombage’ (stone and timber building) that is divided into two rooms inside. This area can be used for basic maintenance. A compressor is available for use if required and plenty of buckets, hot water and cloths for cleaning your bike too. There are also local motorcycle dealers for tyres, etc.
A drying room with dehumidifier is available along with laundry facilities including tumble dryer.
Situated in a small hamlet in the Normandie-Maine Regional Natural Park between the towns of Flers and La Ferte-Mace, Maison Laudiere is an ideal base from which to explore the Orne region of Normandy.
