Lochranza Campsite, Isle of Arran Lochranza Campsite welcomes motorcyclists. We have level grass pitches and you can park your bike beside your tent. Hardstandings and electric hook ups are also available. Our fees include hot showers with hairdryers, clean toilets and wash basins. We also have dish-washing sinks and a drying cupboard. Our campers’ room has seating, information, a fridge and a microwave. We have three wooden heated camping pods for hire. Free putting is available to campers as well as special offers for the 9-hole golf course (novices welcome). We are a quiet site in a natural environment. Red deer, red squirrels, golden eagles and more can be seen from your tent door.
Owners Nigel and Kathryn are keen mountain walkers and sea kayakers. They also enjoy getting out on Nigel`s motorbike.
Facilities include: hot showers, clean toilets, covered dishwashing area, laundrette, campers lounge with,fridge and microwave and tourist information. Good food is available at the Stags Pavilion restaurant. Isle of Arran Distillery cafe, the Sandwich Station, Lochranza Hotel and Catacol Bay Inn. No shop on site- just milk and bread.
The local area: The campsite is situated in a mountain valley at the south end of the village of Lochranza on the beautiful Isle of Arran’s wild north-west coast. The campsite is across the road from the Arran Distillery (tours available) and adjacent to Lochranza Golf Course. You can get bar meals from the Lochranza Hotel, a ten minute walk from the campsite, and takeaway breakfasts and lunches from the Sandwich Station at the Pier. The Stags Pavilion Restaurant next door to the campsite requires bookings on: 01770 830600 Lochranza is 14 miles from Brodick along the island’s scenic perimeter road. Calmac ferries sail regularly from Ardrossan in North Ayrshire to Brodick and from Claonaig on Kintyre to Lochranza. Lochranza Ferry Pier is three-quarters of a mile from the campsite.
Fees for small tents are £9 per person per night.
